Joshua's Law Class:
Tax Savings:
Parents of students who complete
our 30-hour classroom
Joshua's Law program are eligible for a $150 State Tax Credit. This credit only applies to the 30-hour classroom portion of our Joshua's Law class and we will provide the necessary tax forms upon completion of the class and issuance of the certificate of completion.
Insurance Savings:
Parents of students who also complete our 6-hour Behind-the-Wheel training are eligible to receive a discount on their vehicle insurance premium. This discount may range from 10%-20% depending on your insurance company and policy type. Check with your insurance provider to see how much of a discount is available upon completion of our Behind-the-Wheel program.
In many cases, the insurance savings will easily exceed the cost of the class!
Under Georgia law, O.C.G.A. 33-9-42, reductions in insurance premiums shall be available to licensed drivers under 25 years of age, if they maintain a clean driving record and successfully complete a driver education program such as ours. Also under code section 48-7-29.5 if a dependent minor child of a Georgia taxpayer completes our driver education program, the taxpayer is entitled to a tax credit of $150.00.
Defensive Driving/Driver Improvement Class:
The Defensive Driving/Driver Improvement course offered by ABC Driving School offers several benefits. These include:
- May take once every five years to remove up to seven points. (Points stay on license for two years)
- Meets the education requirement for clearance of suspensions
- Possible insurance discount of up to 10% off premiums with a three year clean driving record.
- Possible reduction of fine. The court may reduce fines up to 20% and zero point count the ticket. This is entirely up to the judge and is tied to a person's driving history.
- Job security. Some companies require their employees to take a defensive driving course.

New Adult Driver Training Program:
New adult drivers may qualify for a vehicle insurance discount upon completion of a state certified driver training program. Check with your insurer to see if you qualify.
